Big brand baby foods are heavily processed and use extreme heat, which kills off the bad stuff, along with a lot of the good stuff.  That’s how they  last for up to 2 years on a shelf unrefrigerated.  They often contain preservatives and other nasties.  Not the best nutrition for our super fast growing little ones.

Omami is Soil Association Organic Certified and we never use any concentrates, preservatives or fillers in our blends.  Just real ingredients, made like you would at home.

We started Omami so parents everywhere can feed their kids fresh, high quality, healthy organic meals, easily.  We are proud to always put our babies first.

We've made sure each one of our boxes contains a nice variety of meals to get your baby's taste buds tingling and expose them to a good variety of nutrients.

Our meals stay fridge fresh for 14 days and can be frozen for one month. We use Cold Pressure Technology to keep our pots fresh, safe and nutrient-dense without the use of any nasties or extreme heat.

We don't use any of the 14 major allergens in our foods, nor do we store them onsite.

Although we take the utmost care, we cannot guarantee zero traces (something we are working on) so if your little one suffers from severe allergies and you need some advice on whether we are right for you, please feel free to reach out to us.

Feel free to serve our pots fridge-fresh or warm, whatever your baby prefers. To serve warm, simply empty the contents into a saucepan and gently heat or pop a pot (BPA free) into a hot bowl of water until warm.

Top tip: take out what you need prior to heating and pop the rest, sealed, in your fridge and it will last for 24hrs.

We understand it can be disheartening when your baby rejects their food. The key is to be patient and not to give up - on average, a baby needs to taste a new food up to 15 times before familiarising with it and developing a taste for it. It’s all part of training their palate and it's perfectly normal.

Expert tip? Try mixing a new flavor in with one they are used to and help your baby ease their way to trying new things.

Our blends are not mass produced by a third-party manufacturer, we make them in small batches in our dedicated Omami production kitchen, just like you would at home.  We take great pride in our food safety processes and are working towards SALSA certification.

The cold-pressure process applies pressure rather than heat to maintain the essential vitamins, nutrients and enzymes (plus, taste, colour and texture!) of organic produce, while extending shelf life so we have a little extra time to get our blends from our kitchen to your table. Shelf-stable baby food, on the other hand, is high heat pasteurized which affects the nutrient content, taste, colour and texture and allows it to sit on the shelf at room temperature for years.

Pouches are some of the worst culprits for un-recyclable packaging and babies have been shown to miss out on key oral development for swallowing solids and talking when taking food directly from a squeeze pouch. These skills are learned from taking food from a spoon, or with finger foods. Babies also miss out on building a relationship with real food, as it’s hidden inside the squeeze pouch, imagine if we couldn’t see the food when we were eating it?

Our delivery box, along with everything inside it is fully recyclable.

Our ice packs are 100% recyclable and non-toxic. The best way to recycle your gel packs is to cut them open and dispose of the content in your rubbish bin. You can throw the cover in your recycling bin. You can also re-freeze and reuse them.

Your baby's health is our number 1 priority.

We operate under strict standards for manufacturing baby foods, adhering to UK laws and also go above and beyond.

We operate under SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) guidelines and are regulated by the Food Standards Agency. We are also Good Manufacturers Practice trained & certified and our staff undergo training for Food Safety Certification.

We perform third-party lab tests after on our meals to be extra sure that our food is safe and of the highest quality for you and your little one.

All our food-grade pots are home recyclable and are BPA-free, Phthalate-free and free of harmful toxins.

We don't use pouches, because they are some of the biggest culprits of non recyclable waste.

Our cool delivery boxes are made from recycled materials and are also 100% recyclable.
